about a year ago i was the passenger of my dad’s 84 Ford Ranger going out to East LA on the Freeway the rear axle gave out axle shaft snapped where wheel connects.
truck spins out dad countersteers and i still remember the smell of the gear oil gladly no cars were hit nor injuries.
Yes. I had noises coming from the rear especially when I would go around curves. Eventually I started smelling the fluid from the rear end. Once we took the wheel off there was evidence the bearing was bad since the fluid had coated my rear brakes.
Been having a noise coming from the right rear tire in my 98 jeep grand cherokee, thinking it’s the wheel bearings, but was told the rear end was bad. From this video I think it is the wheel bearings. Any noises come from the jeep 20+ MPH?
